Blue United Corporation Supports JFA FUTURE CAMP in the U.S. — 34 Players Selected from More Than 450 Applicants Nationwide

Blue United Corporation had the opportunity to support the Japan Football Association (JFA) in hosting FUTURE CAMP in the United States, a talent development initiative for young players with Japanese roots who are playing soccer across the country.

More than 450 players from across the United States applied for the program, with 34 selected and invited to Los Angeles to train and interact with JFA coaches and staff.

Leveraging our experience, knowledge, and network within U.S. soccer, Blue United supported the initiative on the U.S. side, particularly by helping identify and connect with talented players of Japanese heritage from across the country.

But FUTURE CAMP represented much more than talent identification.

For young players growing up and developing their soccer careers in the United States, having JFA coaches and staff travel to see and work with them firsthand created a meaningful connection between their soccer journey in America and their roots in Japan.

Throughout the camp, it was especially memorable to see the pride the players felt in representing “JAPAN,” while also building relationships with other players who share similar backgrounds and roots.

Regardless of where their soccer careers may take them, we hope this experience will help them maintain a lasting connection to their Japanese roots and to Japanese soccer.

Alongside FUTURE CAMP, JFA also hosted a business conference in Los Angeles, where Blue United Corporation President & CEO Takehiko Nakamura participated as a panelist. Drawing on his experience working in the U.S. sports industry, Nakamura joined the discussion on soccer and sports business between Japan and the United States.
