Tess from Blue United eFC becomes the first Japanese player to reach the number one spot in the eFootball™️ League World Rankings!

New York | Tokyo – Blue United eFC powered by Manchester City, the professional eSports team of Blue United Corporation, is pleased to announce that “Tess” has achieved the prestigious status of being ranked first globally in the PlayStation® division of the “eFootball™️ League” online tournament.

The tournament was hosted within the in-game mode “Dream Team” of eFootball™️ 2024. This remarkable accomplishment marks the first time a Japanese player has reached this milestone since the release of eFootball™️ 2024 in September last year.

“Dream Team” is a mode integrated into the eFootball™️ series, where players compete using teams of players and managers they’ve assembled themselves. The “eFootball™️ League” is an online competition held within the Dream Team mode, featuring division-based PvP leagues. Divisions range from 1 to 10, with players striving to advance to higher divisions through victories.

Tess reached the international number one spot in the skill rating system which is only awarded to users in Division 3 and above. This skill rating system fluctuates based on match outcomes, and amidst global competition, Tess has emerged victorious as the world’s top-ranked player.

The skill rating system of the eFootball™️ League has been regarded as a significant indicator of user skill since the inception of the eFootball series, holding equivalent value to results from KONAMI-sponsored events such as the eFootball™️ World Finals.

Tess has shown his journey to the top spot on his official YouTube channel and official X, engaging with viewers both domestically in Japan and internationally. With his ability to captivate fans worldwide while communicating in English, Tess’s participation in this international tournament represents a cornerstone of Blue United eFC’s strength: successfully participating in eFootball events around the world.

Tess is scheduled to represent Kashima Antlers in the eJ League eFootball™️ 2024 season finals, and he is also competing in the qualifying tournaments leading to KONAMI’s WORLD FINALS.
